The Sindh Enquiries & Anti-Corruption Establishment (E&ACE) was established in 1961 as a specialized agency to investigate corruption-related offenses and misconduct among public servants in Sindh province.
Operating independently since 1970, its mandate includes conducting inquiries and investigations into corruption within government departments, public sector corporations, and semi-government organizations.
The department is also responsible for prosecuting cases in special anti-corruption courts, suggesting preventive measures, and educating the public against the evils of corruption through awareness campaigns.
As of February 2025, the department is led by Chairman Zulfiqar Ali Shah, who has initiated modern restructuring plans to enhance efficiency.
These reforms include appointing directors in six divisions, each overseeing deputy directors at the district level, transitioning to a paperless, online system for complaint management, and providing specialized training for anti-corruption personnel in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
